COLE CLARK

Cole Clark is a versatile saxophonist and dedicated music educator committed to sharing his passion for contemporary music. Equally at home performing solo or with an ensemble, he brings energy, professionalism, and creativity to every stage. With experience playing small and mid-sized venues, he carries himself with confidence in settings of any scale.

Performing under the name Webster, Cole draws inspiration from jazz, hip hop, and modern improvisational styles, blending them into a sound that’s both expressive and distinctive. His musicality and adaptability make him a strong fit for a wide range of events from intimate gatherings to full-scale productions.

Beyond the stage, Cole is deeply committed to teaching. He believes in empowering students through the music they love, creating lessons that connect technical skill with real-world musical expression. He fosters a supportive and inspiring environment that helps students of all levels grow as artists.

Available for performances, private lessons, group workshops, and jam sessions of all kinds.

LESSONS AND WORKSHOPS

I believe music should feel personal, expressive, and fun. My goal is to help students build strong foundational skills while connecting those skills to music they’re excited about. I create a supportive, patient learning environment where students can grow at their own pace whether they're learning their first notes or preparing for performances in the Des Moines music scene.

I’m passionate about helping students discover their musical voice through lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and rooted in the music they genuinely enjoy. I specialize in contemporary styles, especially jazz, hip hop, and improvisation. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels.

All of my lessons are offered in person here in Des Moines, and I tailor each session to your goals, interests, and learning style.

Performing

Cole Clark is a Des Moines–based saxophonist available for a wide range of live music performances, from relaxed solo sets to full-band shows. His sound blends jazz, hip hop, soul, and modern improvisation, making him a great fit for events that want something warm, expressive, and a little unexpected.

Cole can perform as a solo saxophonist, creating anything from smooth background atmosphere to high-energy feature moments, or he can bring additional musicians to shape the sound you’re looking for like duo setups, small ensembles, or full arrangements.

He also performs with his band, Are You Getting This?, a lively mix of soul, alternative, and original music. The group brings a fresh, engaging vibe to festivals, weddings, local venues, corporate events, and community gatherings throughout the Des Moines area.
